LADIES’ PRAYER HALL
ALHAMDULILLAH,
The ladies’ prayer hall at the Kirinda Jumma mosque was opened on November 7, 2022. The Charities Network has successfully completed this much-needed facility for the community in Kirinda and for all the travelers coming to Yala, Thissamaharama, and Kataragama.
In addition to Prayer Hall, Wudu and Toilet facilities have also been built.

Facilitation of vocational training and essential education (English, IT) buidling the capacity of boys, girls, men and women in identified communities, empowering them to seek greater employment and income generating opportunities.
The need for English and IT amongst schoolchildren is an area that we focus on, whilst we do capacity enhancement projects targeting adults.
In the academic area, Laptops for undergraduates and advanced level students were given to assist them in their studies.
At present, we continue to sponsor the education of two girls from this village of Kirinda at the Vocational Training Authority in Colombo.
Urgent / Emergency Relief
Humanitarian relief which includes food, medical and housing during a calamity or otherwise.
Memon Aid has been our strongest partner, on whom we will continue to rely.
They have always supported us, making The Charities Network a truly remarkable service organization to have come this far.
Share Your Wear
We found that many families were struggling to celebrate Eid and the Sinhala and Tamil New Year with new clothes to wear, so we initiated the “Share Your Wear” project.
Anyone who wished to gift new clothes to such families was invited to drop off their gifts, which we in turn identified as belonging to deserving families. Tears of joy from both the donor and the recipient were a touching sight to see.
